Frequently asked questions about our IT jobs and joining Baggenstos
What qualifications are required for most IT jobs at Baggenstos?
Most roles require solid experience with the Microsoft stack (Azure, M365, or Security) and German language skills for customer communication. While Microsoft certifications are a plus, they're not mandatory: You'll have the opportunity to earn and expand them with us, supported by a dedicated budget and monthly Azure credits. More important than a perfect CV is your enthusiasm to dive deep into our Microsoft specialization.
Does Baggenstos also offer IT jobs in Zurich with a home office option?
Our office is in Wallisellen, conveniently located in the greater Zurich area and easily accessible by public transport. Working from home and flexible working hours are standard practice here. You and your team decide how you split your time between the office and working from home.
How does an IT career at a specialized MSP differ from one at a large corporation?
In a large corporation, your work often focuses on a small part of a single infrastructure. Here, you support various Swiss SMEs across the full breadth of the Microsoft stack. You own topics end-to-end, benefit from quick decision-making, and have direct customer contact. And because 80% of our customers remain in managed services long-term, you also get to see the lasting impact of your work.
Where can I find an overview of all current IT job openings in Switzerland from Baggenstos?
All current vacancies are listed directly here on the careers page, in the overview above. We update the list continuously as new positions become available. If there's nothing suitable for you right now, you can always send us a speculative application or join our talent pool.
Can I also submit a speculative application for IT positions even if there isn't a suitable opening right now?
Yes, we highly encourage speculative applications. Please send us your application documents with a brief note outlining your desired career path. We review every profile and will get back to you promptly. If there isn't a suitable opening right now, we can, with your consent, add you to our talent pool and contact you as soon as a fitting position becomes available.
Which Microsoft certifications does Baggenstos support?
As one of Switzerland's most highly certified Microsoft partners, we actively invest in our employees' certifications. You'll receive a dedicated budget for Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure, M365, Security, or Modern Work) and monthly Azure credit for personal practice. You'll also learn directly from experienced architects and engineers in our internal competence teams.
What areas can I work in at Baggenstos?
Our roles are spread across three main areas: Cloud Engineering & Architecture (design and implementation of Azure/M365 solutions), Managed Services & Support (ongoing operation of customer environments, 2nd-level support), as well as Consulting & Project Management (consulting, workshops, and guiding transformations). Within these areas, you'll always be working with the Microsoft stack.
