Initial situation and objectives

Before the project began, Klinik Im Hasel AG faced the task of renewing its existing environment and taking the step into the cloud. At the same time, medical applications and patient data had to remain available via a secure platform that complies with regulatory and data protection requirements. As the internal IT team was at full capacity, they sought a partner with the experience and balanced approach to guide them through the modernization.

The focus was on significantly increasing security and building a technological foundation for sustainable development. At the same time, care was taken to review the existing cost structure and develop it in a meaningful way. The solution needed to be flexible, support future digital initiatives, and provide tangible relief for the clinic's staff in their day-to-day work.

Solution and Implementation

Baggenstos took on the comprehensive modernization of the entire IT environment. This included migrating the email infrastructure to the cloud, introducing the new Office suite with Microsoft Teams, and building a stable, secure, and scalable M365 environment for medical applications and data. The network and firewalls were also upgraded to ensure that communication within the clinic and with partners remains stable and protected.

Following the technical implementation, the transition to the "Operation Care" service model took place. In close cooperation with the clinic's IT manager, operations were gradually transferred and stabilized. As a result, the internal IT team gained significantly more time for their own projects, such as the further development of their Hospital Information System (HIS) and other digitalization initiatives.

Today, the clinic has a modernized and securely structured IT environment at its disposal. Cloud services are utilized where they provide the greatest benefit. Operations are more stable, the security posture has been improved, and the IT infrastructure can be easily expanded to meet new requirements.
