This requires an assigned Microsoft 365 Copilot license and edit permissions for a SharePoint site. The agent "sits" on the site homepage, in the command bar of a document library or list, or in the context menu of selected files within a document library.

The AI solves a common frustration: dashboards have traditionally been based on static, exported data. That changes with the new SharePoint dashboards with Copilot: when you open the dashboard, it updates automatically based on the latest list data. There is no longer any need to recreate or export reports (exporting data → creating a report → updating the list → recreating the report). This enables new applications such as project status reports, inventory tracking, or a dashboard that displays customer satisfaction in real time.

Approval workflows, finally automated
Documents often require approval from multiple people or departments. With Copilot, you can easily set up and monitor approval workflows, including requests and reviews. There is no need for custom approvals in specialized software.

Organize and share files and folders through conversation
At the end of a sprint, project libraries can get quite cluttered. Now, you can organize a library directly in the Copilot chat.
