b.secure: networks in the cloud with triple protection
Das Wichtigste in Kürze
- Cloud network security on three levels: monitoring of activity, secure and managed access, protection of servers, apps and containers
- As a Microsoft CSP, Baggenstos integrates network security seamlessly into Microsoft 365 and Azure and takes over responsibility for operations
- Tools used: Azure Fortinet Appliance, Entra ID Application Proxy, Azure Application Gateway with Web Application Firewall and Azure DNS with MFA protection
Protecting networks is so important because small and large companies thereby also secure their business model. At its core, this is about central protection in the cloud that works on three levels:
- Monitoring network activity for threats and performance
- Providing secure and managed access to the network (identity and access from a central location)
- Protecting networks, servers, containers, apps and more
Easy integration
Every company has an individual IT and network infrastructure that must be protected with different means. That is why the Baggenstos specialists analyse precisely where the gaps are and close them with state-of-the-art network security tools.
«As a Microsoft CSP (Cloud Solution Provider), we take over the IT operations and the licensing of Microsoft 365 and Azure services,» says Moritz Baggenstos. «This simplifies the integration of network security solutions.» Baggenstos relieves its customers of the responsibility for network security.
Protection in the cloud
For networks in the cloud, several solutions are available, which are mostly used in combination. The Azure Fortinet Appliance enables the central management of the security infrastructure. With the Microsoft Entra ID Application Proxy, any applications or services can be integrated seamlessly and securely into the cloud environment – employees gain access to all resources with a single login.
With the Microsoft Azure Application Gateway, loads are distributed and web applications are protected by monitoring the data traffic. The included Web Application Firewall permits only secure access. With the cloud service Azure DNS (Domain Name System) and an MFA-protected registrar (multi-factor protected registration), domains are safe from unauthorized access.
