Microsoft 365 Business: The New Copilot Designed for Small Organisations

Several studies show that small businesses, in particular, often struggle to introduce AI into their organisations. One of the reasons may have been the previous licensing cost: at Ignite in San Francisco, Microsoft introduced Microsoft 365 Copilot Business—priced at USD 21 per user, per month. “This is a game changer for small organisations,” says Manuel Brändle, Cloud Solution Architect at Baggenstos. “They get the same AI capabilities as large enterprises, but at a significantly lower price point.” At the same time, thanks to Work IQ, the AI operates exclusively within the organisation’s secure data environment, delivering highly personalised productivity—with employees at the centre.

Now available globally as of 1 December 2025, Copilot Business brings the full Microsoft 365 Copilot feature set to a price point that works for small organisations. To simplify deployment, Microsoft now bundles the new Copilot for smaller organisations directly with the appropriate Microsoft 365 Business plan. «This ensures companies get the right environment at the right price for their new AI colleague,», ays Manuel Brändle. Copilot then leverages the full potential of the selected workspace. «We are happy to advise customers on choosing the right setup and demonstrate the productivity gains of Microsoft 365 Copilot Business in a dedicated workshop.» 

Microsoft is also offering attractive promotional packages at launch. And organisations already using Microsoft 365 Copilot at USD 30 per month may, under certain conditions, switch to a Business bundle without losing any functionality. «A smart solution», adds Manuel Brändle.
